Expert consultancy support in the fields of
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Electro-Static
Discharge (ESD) and Electromagnetic Fields and health (EMF)
is available to support the product creation and realization
processes in very many different ways.
The most obvious
support is called upon in product release and approbation
phases to achieve compliance with CE, FCC or other
regulations. Troubleshooting is the main activity of an EMC
consultant in these cases.
Much more effective is the expert's participation in
product creation teams to have early design phase
assessments and design reviews. This prevents problems and
assures application of proper design methodology including
simulations and modeling to perform design verification. The
fact that our experts also have knowledge of all relevant
EMC product standards, applied test and measurement
techniques and advanced design guidelines can be very
instrumental in achieving first time right designs.
Our vision is to apply an integral system design approach
for EMC and Signal Integrity (SI). This requires a wide
range of knowledge and expertise from IC to PCB to
subassemblies and the final product. Our consultants provide
you access to such an integral approach. Our support also
includes specification of requirements for those components,
subassemblies or total products that are purchased from
third party vendors. It is our experience that a lot of EMC
and reliability issues arise when clear requirements for
purchasing are lacking or ill considered in the make-or-buy
process.
