Our way of working

• Setting the scene – The HCS group first needs to know from our clients what would make a design a success.
  • Understand the business proposition. We work with clients to understand the key requirements, and the key success criteria.
  • Understand the usage context. We place the user at the heart of each design. The HCS group needs to understand who will use it, what they want from it, and what will make the design a success for them.
  • Understand the technologies. We need to understand the technological options and possibilities best suited to the result that the client wants.
    
    
• An iterative process – The HCS group progressively refines our design proposals from first proposals to the finished result using a continuous ‘plan-build-evaluate’ process. We involve users and other stakeholders to participate actively into identifying needs/requirements, creating solutions and evaluating options as they evolve.
  
  
• Working with clients – Understanding the business proposition and translating it into a successful design means working with clients as collaborators.
