Using personas helps focusing on specific user groups. A
persona is an archetypical user from a user group. For each
persona, relevant characteristics are described, from e.g.
information like age, living situation and daily routines,
to attitude towards technology.
Preferably, these personas are based on end-user
research, like interviews or field observations (see next
paragraph).
